I am very sorry, but I have been quite remiss about doing a financials wrap up from the Charity Bowl.
But first, a few details about the fund raising beneficiary for this year.
From Stingrays' President, Craig James...
"I met Thai (Hague) when he was 10 years old at his primary school driving him occasionally in the taxi. Then when he started high school I became his permanent driver taking him to and from school, and any after school activities that he took part in for the entire 5 years of his high school. When Thai turned 18, because he was an adult, the foundation that provided him with a wheelchair accessible vehicle in his school years took the vehicle back to give it to another child in need. Thai and his family then decided to raise the money themselves to purchase their own vehicle. I was made aware of the art Union they were running around the same time the Charity Bowl was being organised. So I called you to see if a charity had been designated yet.
Thai and I formed a tight friendship in the 90 minutes we spent on the road together to and from school and the Stingrays club & gridiron was always a subject of Thai's conversation. I will enjoy the smile on his face when that vehicle finally pulls up outside his house."
$750 was raised in tickets sales in the "Transport 4 Thai" raffle/art union. DownUnder Sports donated $1000 on behalf of the Stingrays.
The Ghosts and our amazing supporters also raised $1000, for a total of $2,750.00 to help Thai and his family make that special vehicle a reality for him.
